GOcatalunya.com is a young company launched early in 2007 with the aim of promoting the region as a whole and giving as comprehensive and in depth coverage as possible for both tourists and residents alike. GOcatalunya.com was conceived from a passion for the region, a realisation that there wasn’t an existing website that either covered the whole of Catalunya or offered the scope of content that we want to provide and our depth of knowledge of both the tourism sector and the advertising industry.

With three distinct areas of content STAY , DISCOVER and LIVE our aim is for you to be able to find the information you want quickly and for it to be presented clearly and concisely. From city and regional guides to finding that special holiday villa, buying or selling a property here to the regions food and wine, we've got Catalunya covered.

Where is Catalunya?

The autonomous community of Catalunya is made up of the provinces of Barcelona, Girona, Lleida and Tarragona and lies in the north east of Spain. However at GOcatalunya.com we want to show you the extended Catalunya, an area where either Catalan is still widely spoken or there is still a strong sense of Catalan identity so we have chosen to include the Balearic Islands, Andorra and French Catalunya (the French Pyrénées-Orientales department also known as Roussillon). While Catalunya is the Catalan name for the region you'll also find the English spelling of Catalonia and the Spanish Cataluña.
