The skies above Tarragona explode for six days in July with this international fireworks competition.

This is the southern Catalan town of Tortosa's biggest annual festival and covers four days at the end of July (19-22 2007). The whole town gets involved with residents dressing up in medieval costumes, street theatre, outdoor markets and a massive fireworks display on the last night.

Featuring over 20 acts from across Spain and beyond including La Portena jazz Band from Argentina, and Naturally 7 - a band from New York making their premier in Spain. Ths year's festival has a special dedication to the music and life of Catalan born jazz pianist Tete Montoliu.
