Festa del Renaixement - Renaissance festivalWhen: July
Where: Tortosa
This is the southern Catalan town of Tortosa's biggest annual festival and covers four days at the end of July (19-22 2007). The whole town gets involved with residents dressing up in medieval costumes, street theatre, outdoor markets and a massive fireworks display on the last night. |

Santa Tecla is Tarragona's major festival (Festa Major) and has been declared an event of national interest. The central events are the procession and castells (human towers) but there's lots more from music to food and sporting events. |
