Flights from Barcelona to Palma, Mahon & Ibiza

The combination of the small size and excellent alternative transport infrastructure of Catalunya (Catalonia) means there aren’t all that many internal flights. There are however regular services between Barcelona and Palma, Menorca & Ibiza and, during peak seasons, between Reus and Palma.

The main airlines flying these routes are Spanair, Air Europa, Vueling, Air Berlin, Iberia and its subsidiary, Air Nostrum. These routes, as with other domestic air travel within Spain, were expensive until fairly recent competition started bringing fares down.

There are now some real bargains to be had outside peak periods as the airlines now compete directly with the ferry company, Acciona Trasmediterranea, for passengers to the Balearic Islands.
