Spanish Grand Prix - Barcelona province

When: May 12-13
Where: Circuit de Catalunya - Montmeló

The Circuit de Catalunya, north of Barcleona plays host to the Spanish Grand Prix with practice and grid time trials on the first day and the race on the second. Those holding a three day ticket also have access to the pit lane on May 10.

Summer Festival

When: July 14-16 2007
Where: Estartit

Featuring on the 14th July 'Piromusical' - a night of music and fireworks on the beach, earlier in the day visit the handicraft market known as the Mostra D'Art. On the 16th July are land and sea processions to bless Mare Deu de Carme, followed by sardanas dancing and a street ball.

Summercase

When: July 14-16 2007
Where: Barcelona

A fantastic lineup for this festival held simultaneously in Barcelona and Madrid. All artists playin both cities and the venue in Barcelona is the Parc del Forum. Weekend tickets costs around 105euros which will get you in to see Arcade Fire, The Editors, Jarvis Cocker, Scissor Sisters, and PJ Harvey among many others.

Tall Ships' Race 2007 Mediterranea

When: July 12-15 2007
Where: Barcelona

The Tall Ships' Race is an international event bringing together upto 100 sail training Tall Ships from around the world. It involves thousands of young people in competitive events and this year he Mediterranea race series includes the host ports of Alicante, Barcelona, Toulon and Genoa. Its a great opportunity to get close to the beautiful ships, meet the crews and be part of this fantastic spectacle.

TARRACO VIVA

When: May 10-20 2007
Where: Tarragona

Tarragona is rightly proud of it's Roman heritage and celebrates with a festival using the Roman name for the city, Tarraco.
